Directions by car or rail

You can reach Freyburg by car from the A9, A4 or A14 motorways via the B180 or B176. The route to Neuenburg Castle is well signposted in Freyburg and the surrounding area. Please use the visitor car park at “Berghotel zum Edelacker”, which is also suitable for coaches and mobile homes. From there, it is just a 5-minute walk to Neuenberg Castle.

If you arrive by train, we recommend the station in Naumburg an der Saale. From there, an hourly regional train travels the seven kilometres to Freyburg. From Freyburg station, it is roughly a 15 minute walk to Neuenburg Castle.
